Second annual CSA Violence & Society Cluster meeting today at Congress 2017

Congress 2017 in Toronto will be the site of the Canadian Sociological Association’s (CSA) 2nd Annual Violence and Society Research Cluster Meeting. Organized by CSSLRV Director, Myrna Dawson, the purpose of the research cluster is to foster collaboration and provide a space for researchers to connect and share information related to violence research. Topics that interest the research cluster include but are not limited to, the geographies and theoretical understandings of violence, and the incidence of and responses to various forms of violence, including sexual and domestic violence. This year’s meeting will reflect on the activity of the past year and identify upcoming objectives and next steps. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 31st from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm. All researchers interested in violence research are welcome to attend.
