Third annual #CallItFemicide report released this month

The Canadian Femicide Observatory for Justice and Accountability released its third annual report today, identifying that, on average, one woman or girl continues to be killed every 2.5 days in this country. Documenting the violent deaths of 160 women and girls, the report’s findings were covered locally and globally with emphasis on the continued overrepresentation of Indigenous women and girls as victims and the role of the pandemic in contributing to these numbers.
