A special issue on Fatality and Death Reviews comprised the final 2013 issue of Homicide Studies, an international journal that seeks to bridge the gap between academics and practitioners by highlighting quality research from multiple disciplines concerned with research, public policy and new knowledge in the study and prevention of homicide.

Dawson awarded Insight grant

Canada Research Chair and Sociology Professor Myrna Dawson was recently awarded an Insight grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for her project entitled, “Location, location, location: Examining the geography of justice for victims and perpetrators of violence.”

Watt awarded SSHRC scholarship

Rochelle Watt, a Master’s student in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy program at the University of Guelph, was recently awarded the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) for 2013-2014.
